RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Course Overview

The RLSS NPLQ is the industry-standard lifeguarding qualification in the UK. This intensive four-day course covers pool rescue techniques, emergency action plans, CPR and AED use, first aid and casualty care. Upon successful completion you will hold the NPLQ certificate, valid for two years.

Prerequisites

• Ability to swim 100 metres continuously in under 4 minutes
• Ability to swim 50 metres with head above water
• Ability to surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
• Tread water for 30 seconds
